BestNotes’ Electronic Health Record (EHR) provides SMS text message appointment reminder services on
behalf of healthcare providers. These messages may include appointment dates, times, locations, and other
appointment-related information, such as
a. Appointment reminders between 1 week and up to 1 hour prior to your appointment time
i. Sample message: “Appt reminder for [PATIENT PREFERRED NAME] on 01/01/2025 with
[PRACTICE NAME] at 12:00 PM (CT). Reply C to confirm. To opt-out txt STOP”
b. Post appointment thank you messages
c. Telehealth appointment reminder messages will include a URL to join the session.
i. Sample message: “[PRACTICE NAME] [URL] Click to join on 01/01/2025 at 12:00 PM (CT). To
opt-out txt STOP”
By providing your mobile phone number and checking the consent box, you expressly consent to receive
automated SMS text messages from BestNotes on behalf of your healthcare provider. Message frequency
varies based on your appointment schedule.
Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. BestNotes is not
responsible for any charges incurred from your mobile carrier.
You may opt out of receiving SMS appointment reminders at any time by replying STOP to any message. You
will receive a confirmation message confirming you are unsubscribed, and no further messages will be sent
unless you opt in again. You may also contact your healthcare provider directly to update your preferences.
For assistance, reply HELP to any message or contact your healthcare provider directly at the phone number
listed in the appointment reminder or by contacting our support team at 866.543.6646.
SMS services are supported by most major US wireless carriers. BestNotes is not responsible for delayed or
undelivered messages due to carrier issues.
Your mobile phone number and personal information will be handled in accordance with BestNotes’ Patient SMS Privacy Policy . Your information will not be shared with third
parties for marketing purposes.
BestNotes reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the SMS service after
changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
BestNotes provides this SMS service as a convenience and is not liable for any damages resulting from
delayed, failed, or undelivered messages. This service does not replace direct communication with your
healthcare provider.
